There are only two types of tree frogs in Massachusetts - the tiny peeper and the gray treefrog. So if you see a inch little frog near trees, it's most likely the gray and not the little under-one-inch peeper. The confusing thing about the gray treefrog - Hyla versicolor - is that it's not necessarily gray!
